The Californian prodigal sons No Fucking Good keep old-school anarcho energy alive, blurring the lines between punk and metal. Influenced by The Bronx, Murder City Devils, Cro-Mags, Black Flag, Dwarves, Fukm, and Suicidal Tendencies, their frenzied, familiar chaos has ignited crowds in their Bay Area home and beyond. Founding members James Conway (guitar), Tim Beaulieu (bass), and Max Flores (vox) met in the dystopic summer of 2020 while in rehab in Scotts Valley, where they wrote and performed their earliest material. After leaving, they brought in Tim’s longtime friend and former bandmate Joe Horan (drums), completing the lineup. With songs ready to tear roofs off venues, they debuted in December 2021, followed by shows at Mojos Lounge in Fremont and the 2nd Annual DeakFest in Seaside. Their debut album Good for Nothing—recorded at Reeds Recording with Adam Reed—dropped June 14th, 2022, sparking a ferocious run across California, including the Metal vs. Punk Festival and the Tooth & Nail Block Party. In 2024, the band released four standalone singles, pushing their sound darker, faster, and heavier, and capped 2025 with one more. During this prolific stretch, they parted ways with original guitarist Conway and welcomed Gabe, marking a new era of grit and evolution. Now armed with a renewed lineup and sharpened edge, No Fucking Good are gearing up to unleash their full-length sophomore album in 2026—set to hit harder, scream louder, and cause even more havoc.
